This is my fourth year teaching at Illini Bluffs Elementary School.  Last school year was my second year teaching 6th grade ELA, and in 2016-2017, I served as a fourth grade teacher.  In 2015-2016, I worked as an aide in middle school physical education and high school special education.  My family includes my husband of 16 years and our three girls.  We live on a 100-acre farm in the countryside of Mapleton.  While we don't raise any animals, we see a lot of deer and turkey and other wildlife and enjoy the woods and creeks on our property.  We enjoy camping and traveling---spending time together as a family.  This summer, we FINALLY moved into our new home that we began building the previous summer! 

 

My girls attend IBES and IBMS.  Savannah will be in seventh grade, Avery will be in fifth grade, and Mackenzie (Mac) will be in third grade.  Prior to having my own kids, I taught middle school language arts and technology at Morton Junior High School and 5th-8th Reading at Rankin School in Pekin.  I am excited to be here and excited to be back in a middle school setting.
