Studying the parts of speech is one component of 6th grade ELA.  Attached you will find the quarterly requirements.

How grammar process works:

1. Work through each required IXL for that part of speech to 90%

2. Complete the part of speech bookwork (worksheet from polka dot organizer)

3. Have Mrs. Jost check your bookwork.  If mastered, you will be sent a 5 question formative assessment on that part of speech.  If not mastered, you will need to make corrections.

4. If you pass your formative by getting 4 or 5 questions correct, you will move on to the next part of speech.  If you do not pass your formative getting only 1, 2, or 3 questions correct, you will retake the formative AFTER completing another practice exercise on that part of speech from Mrs. Jost.
